Hello, I am Henry Guerra or Coach Hank/Henry, whichever you prefer. I have been coaching youth sports for 10 years, ages 4-16.   A big part of my passion for coaching comes from my love for kids. Being a positive influence in a young person's life is something I greatly enjoy and am proud to be. My goal as a coach is to have my players grow to be successful people, NOT just a successful player. Yes, winning is great and I love to win, don't get me wrong,  but if winning becomes the main goal, you're only as good as your last game. I surely hope I am remembered for more than my last game.

"Success is mine when I work my hardest to become my best, and that I alone determine whether I am successful."

MARIAH

Head Coach Girls 2027/2028 |  Asst. Coach Girls 2029-2031

I grew up playing competitive basketball. Since as young as 4th grade I loved competing, winning, and the game itself. It wasn't until I stopped playing, I truly realized what basketball, coaches, and playing sports taught me. I learned how to be a part of a team. I learned leadership skills. I learned what hard work and dedication can get you. Throughout my years I also learned tough lessons, not just losing, but attitude and work ethic.

I can remember every coach I ever had for every sport I played. A few taught me more than just the sport. I coach to teach more than the sport. I want to help these athletes become more than just athletes, I want to build character, help them learn to overcome adversity, and develop life skills. But don't get me wrong, I love the game. I will coach to bring out the full potential of each athlete. And of course I coach to win.

Coach to Boys Teams 2026 and 2025

Originally from Albuquerque, NM, I have been coaching basketball for 9 years now—with a strategic focus on fundamentals, skill development and decision making. With experience ranging from 6th graders all the way up to Varsity, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a multitude of players from all across the Southwest. My passion is in helping young people utilize the game of basketball as a tool—for not only teaching life lessons, but also for making life long connections. Just trying to give back to the game that gave everything to me

Assistant Coach of ALL TEAMS

I coach because it’s a part of who I am.  I am competitive and next to playing it’s the next best thing. I love teaching kids. I love comparing sports to life lessons and showing others how to use them in life.

It is important to work hard for the pay off. Never give up. Always be a good teammate.
